2018

Why did you choose to showcase your work at Made In The Mitten?

To access the Royal Oak area market

What is your goal for your business?

A rewarding, joyous, creative-based career that I hope to turn into retirement income one day

What is something you want people to know about your business?

That every design is hand-carved and hand-printed. No digital reproductions.

What do you find rewarding in this business?

Answering people’s questions about the lino printmaking process.

What inspires you the most when creating your work?

Seeing the work of others and challenging myself to become better with each carved block.

What is your biggest pet peeve about the crafting / selling business? Photography.

What is the best advice you’ve received when it comes to your business? Any advice for new and beginner artists?

Have a balance between creating art you do for yourself and creating art that you know will sell. The first will keep you inspired , and the second will keep you optimistic.

Do you participate in craft shows / pop ups? What is your favorite to be an artist at?

Yes; I am new to shows; the RO Outdoor Market was a good one for me, and I am fortunate to be in the Leon and Lulu Artists’ Market.

Is Die Hard A Christmas movie? What about Gremlins?

No. Yes.

Favorite Faygo Pop Flavor?

Creme Soda.
